Riding has always been a passion from an early age and having tasted success at Pony Club level I was really bitten by the eventing bug! From there I went on to be selected for 2005 Pony Europeans with Winter Holly who sadly went lame before I was able to compete, I was the first reserve for 2010 Young Rider Europeans with Boherdeal Cruise. I was heartbroken when a year later he passed away and then in 2014 I also lost my Mum who was undoubtedly my biggest supporter, I was devastated. Since then my focus has been on my horsemanship and training a fantastic team of young horses. Working alongside Donal Barnwell at the Billy Stud is the most fantastic experience, there is not much he doesn't know about horses and how to work with their traits and quirks. I think this gives me an edge at a competition now as I feel that I know how my horses are feeling and how I can help them, even at home I am now able to get the best out of tricky characters, Billy Liffy being a fine example whom I took to the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials CCI**** last year. He was sadly sold this year to Sam Griffiths, and I am excited about following the rest of his career.
